Full name: Jesse James Herford

 Age: 17. Born in '92.

 Gender: Pending.

Involvement general in Youth at Bowral: I'm involved in the 'Youth team,' which has in it Pr David Syme, Peter and Jodi Landers, and Mum and Dad. I'm in the loop for outings, youth group and all that good stuff. Also, we have a VBS running there once a month on Sabbath (basically a miniature version of the week-long VBS that we did in the school holidays, a week before Junior Camp). I am involved with that as a 'crew leader;' also Raewyn Knopper and I write plays to perform with puppets, and I play a recurring puppet character each time.

I also play violin at church; it's no biggie, given the 17th-century style hymns we play.

I'm also involved in a NNSW StormCo. Been doing that for 2 years so far. Good experience.

Doing year 12 this year at home, as I have all my life. Will take a gap year next year and work, then apply to unis. Interested in doing psychology, but also considering theology. I'm not too sure though. Pretty typical of my agegroup though I guess.

And that's about it, unless there's more you'd like to know.

The Adventures of Elise

Once upon a time there lived a little girl in the mountains blue,

Who grew up with mum, dad and sisters (two).

She grew up short and sang a lot, till at schools end,

To study physiotherapy she did intend.

Alas a perfect score she did not get

But there was plan B, so do not fret.

And so with some regret of time ill spent,

The fair province of Lismore is where she went.

To study exercise science and nutrition,

Whilst also fulfilling some of God’s mission.

Time did pass and friends were made,

And lifelong mates are how they’ve stayed.

She organized music and lead the youth,

Telling them of God’s amazing truth.

Back to physiotherapy, her thoughts were turned,

But there was a fork in her yellow brick road, she learned.

Albury or Townsville? The decision was tough,

To make the choice, her thoughts alone were not enough.

With help from God, and the guidance of a new friend,

Her mind was made, and the university in Albury she did attend.

Now life went on, till she ventured to another land,

Where God was calling her to lend a helping hand.

India opened her eyes and changed her life they say,

But now that is a story for another day.
